Photo Upload Terms

Standard photo upload

This page applies when you upload a photo to print on your case. Selecting and positioning your photo happens locally in your browser. The standard flow sends the image to our storage when you add your design to the cart, after you have accepted the Photo Upload Terms.

Printing, storage and deletion

We use your photo to prepare and print your case and check print quality. Production is in-house. AWS in Frankfurt provides our temporary image storage. Keep your own copy if you want to reuse the photo.

Uploaded photos and preview images are deleted automatically from our temporary image storage 72 hours after upload. The deletion run takes place once a day, so the actual removal can follow one to two days later.

Our German Privacy Policy describes deletion of uploaded image files after final completion of the order and the separate retention of order, payment and support records. Choosing a file on your device alone does not upload it to our servers.

Service providers

AWS provides temporary image storage in Frankfurt. Cloudflare supports delivery, request handling and security; Shopify supports the storefront and order processing. Providers receive the data required for their roles under applicable data-processing arrangements.

Our main Privacy Policy describes wider store processing and international transfers. The location of temporary image storage does not mean that every store-related service operates only in the EU.

Who handles your photo

RPX customs is operated by PixelGravity GmbH, Straße der Jugend 18, 14974 Ludwigsfelde, Germany, the controller responsible for this processing. Contact: hello@robopixel.eu.

Your photo and your rights

You retain your rights to your uploaded photo. You give us permission to use it to provide the service you select, including preparing your design, printing and quality checks. We do not use uploaded photos for advertising. Only upload images you own or have permission to use, including permission from people shown where required.

Do not upload unlawful, hateful, violent or sexually explicit content, or content that infringes another person's rights. We may decline content that violates these requirements.

Legal basis and order fulfilment

We process the image files needed to personalise and fulfil your order on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, as described in our German Privacy Policy. The checkbox confirms acceptance of these Photo Upload Terms. Your photo is used for the personalised product you request.

Privacy choices and contact

You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object where applicable. You can complain to a supervisory authority, including the Brandenburg data protection authority. Contact us to exercise your rights or request information about transfer safeguards. We do not use your photo to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
