Custom Phone Cases Guide: Fit, Photos and Final Checks

A custom phone case combines two separate decisions: the shell that fits your phone and the image you want to carry. This guide helps you choose both. Start with your exact device, then decide whether to use your own photo, create artwork with AI or pick a finished design.

Choose the exact phone before the picture

A familiar brand name is not enough. Standard, Plus, Pro, Pro Max and Ultra models can have different dimensions and camera openings. Use the full model name from your phone's settings and check the live iPhone selector or Samsung Galaxy selector. These pages show the models currently offered and carry your selection into the customizer. Do not substitute a similar model if yours is absent.

Which design route suits your idea?

  • Your own photograph: choose regular photo upload when the original memory is the point. A portrait, pet or car photograph can work if the composition fits and you have permission to reproduce it.
  • AI artwork: Portrait Engine interprets a human portrait; Prompt Engine creates from a written idea; Outfit Match takes inspiration from clothing. Generated details can change, so review the result rather than treating it as an exact reproduction.
  • A ready-made design: browse RoboPixel Originals when you want finished artwork. Confirm the device on that product before ordering.

Make the picture work around the camera

Start with a clear original file. A social-media screenshot may contain compression, small dimensions or unwanted interface elements. A wide group photograph may lose people at the edges when fitted to a tall case. Choose a different image if keeping everyone visible requires an awkward crop.

In the model-specific preview, check faces, lettering and important details against both the camera opening and outside edges. Leave breathing room around a pet's ears or a car's roofline. Small writing and fine patterns deserve a close look. The preview helps you judge placement; it is not an exact colour proof and does not guarantee that a low-quality original will print sharply.

Check the physical case separately

RoboPixel describes its custom case as a rigid printed back with a black TPU frame. Read the current custom case product details for the selected device, rather than inferring protection from the artwork. Our materials guide explains the terminology and the difference between a product claim and a documented test.

A magnetic ring does not establish a universal charging speed or compatibility with every wallet, mount or protector. If an accessory matters to you, confirm the exact phone–case–accessory combination. Do not treat one model's preview as proof for another phone.

Price, timing and photo processing

Check the current offer and included items in the customizer, then review the final total before paying. AI access and a physical case are different purchases; the PIXELBACK page explains the current additional-generation offer and its conditions. This guide does not set a fixed case price or delivery promise.

For delivery to your destination, consult shipping and payment information. Before uploading, read the applicable photo processing terms. Ordinary upload and AI processing have different paths. AI can involve external providers outside the EEA; storage and provider logs do not share one blanket deletion deadline.

Buying a personalised case as a gift?

Confirm the recipient's full model name and choose a picture they would enjoy carrying every day. Our photo case gift checklist includes composition examples and seven checks before ordering. If you cannot establish the phone or an essential accessory requirement, choose the final case together rather than guessing.

Your final review

  1. Exact model selected and available.
  2. Permission to use the image confirmed.
  3. Camera opening, edges and small details checked.
  4. Case features and necessary accessories checked for this model.
  5. Included items, final total, destination and applicable terms reviewed.
